Recreation League

Recreational is an introduction to the game of soccer.  The soccer program seeks to lay a foundation for parents to spend quality time together with their children while learning how to properly teach and support them in sports, watch them have fun, learn new skills and meet new friends.

Ages: Boys and Girls 3-18 Years old

Practices: once a week for 1 hour

Games: Saturdays

Where: At the branch you registered your child – either the Shuford Branch (Conover) or the Hickory Branch.

Cost: YMCA Members - $70/season   Non YMCA Members - $130/season

Uniform: Free – 1 jersey, shorts and pair of socks

 

 

 

   YMCA of Catawba Valley Soccer Club Academy Program

The Academy Program is the first step for players that desire a more challenging playing environment than that provided by our recreation program. The U10 Academy program is for players wanting additional development and an opportunity for competitive matches against other Academy clubs.

Ages: Boys and Girls 7-9 Years old

Practices:  Twice per week for 1 ½ hours each.  They are usually at the Shuford Branch YMCA

Games:  Up to 6 Saturdays a season (Fall & Spring) with 2 games played each Saturday.  They are played with other Academy programs

Travel: Up to 1 ½ hours away

Cost**: YMCA Members - $385/year   Non YMCA Members - $425/year*

Uniform: $160 – 1 Home uniform (jersey, shorts, socks), 1 Away uniform (jersey, shorts, socks), 1 Training jersey

 

 

   YMCA of Catawba Valley Soccer Club Classic Program

Classic soccer provides the highest level of club competition offered by NCYSA. Classic Soccer requires a higher level of commitment than the Recreation or Academy programs, but provides the benefits and satisfaction of playing with and against the best competition across the State of North Carolina. Classic teams typically train for 7-8 months a year (Aug-Nov in the Fall and Jan-May in the Spring)

Ages: Boys and Girls 10-18 Years old

Practices:  2-3 times per week for 1 ½ hours each.  They are in the Hickory/Conover area.

Games:  Saturdays and Sundays.  Approx. 10 games played per season.

Travel: Up to 2  hours away

Cost**: U12-U14 YMCA Members - $560/year   Non YMCA Members - $600/year*

         U15-U18  YMCA Members - $430       Non YMCA Members - $470

Uniform: $160 – 1 Home uniform (jersey, shorts, socks), 1 Away uniform (jersey, shorts, socks), 1 Training jersey
