Classic soccer provides the highest level of club competition offered by NCYSA. Classic soccer starts at the U11 age group and progresses through U18. U11-U13 offers two self selected divisions - 2nd division and the more competitive open division. Beyond the U13 age group there are 3 divisions - 2nd division, 1st division, and premier division. Teams can move through the different divisions based on promotion and relegation rules set forth by NCYSA. After each season the top finishing teams in each division are promoted, while unsuccessful teams are relegated to the next lowest division.

Classic Soccer requires a higher level of commitment than the Challenge or Academy programs, but provides the benefits and satisfaction of playing with and against the best competition across the State of North Carolina. Classic teams typically train for 7-8 months a year (Aug-Nov in the Fall and Jan-May in the Spring)
